From 2 to 5 September 2022, the Freddie Celebration Days brought Montreux to life with an edition marked by diversity and innovation.
Among the highlights was the introduction of the Queen Silent Disco, which added a decidedly original touch. Designed as an alternative to tribute band concerts – without overshadowing the official Mercury Phoenix Trust evening – this immersive experience under the Marché couvert quickly won over festival-goers, who were seduced by its fun and festive format.
On stage, the programme did not disappoint: Queen In Rock (Italy), Live Killers (United Kingdom) and The Dragon Attack (Italy) delivered powerful shows, while Xavier (Switzerland), Peter Straker (United Kingdom) and pianist Gabriele Baldocci (Italy) offered more intimate but equally memorable moments.
The event was also enriched by creative initiatives such as flash mobs, dance performances (Neptune in Heaven) and an unexpected show entitled Made in Heaven, which punctuated the weekend with surprising moments.
Finally, the official evening at the Montreux Casino made its grand return after a two-year hiatus, with Bulsara and His Queenies taking to the stage for a highly anticipated concert.

After having set Montreux on fire in 2019, the Sardinians of Queen In Rock are back for a new concert not to be missed under any circumstances!
Their show is faithfully reconstructed and imitates Queen’s most famous gigs including stage costumes reproduced in a precise, almost maniacal way, and the Red Special guitar.
They all come from the magnificent island of Sardinia. Ladies and gentlemen ... are you ready for "Queen in Rock - A Magic Tribute" ?

Another Kind of Magic retraces the history of the mythical rock band QUEEN, punctuated by the testimony of an imaginary fan on the big screen.
Through the greatest hits sung entirely a cappella by a group of 6 outstanding artists, the show will make us relive on stage the birth, the conquest and the coronation of this group whose leader was the incredible Freddie Mercury.
The Neptune dance school, which was founded in 2003 and is directed by Vanessa Costanzo, will be performing tunes of Queen and more particularly tracks from the Made in Heaven album!
Hip Hop, Contemporary Fusion, StreetJazz, will be there with all the students of the Neptune dance school including : D-Blaster, D-Motion, Nogravity, Boomerang Crew and Others & Company and The Neptunes Company.

With a consolidated career in Brazil and abroad as a musician, singer and songwriter, Edinho Santa Cruz is known for being the author of several soap opera soundtracks by Rede Globo, as well as the first tribute to Freddie Mercury "Song For Freddie". He has performed in several TV shows and events of major companies, and worked for four years at "Domingão do Faustão" as a musical director, ahead of his band. Currently, Edinho Santa Cruz is working on the promotion of his latest DVD "Jogo do Silêncio", recorded live with special guests and a big orchestra.
"The first time I came here in Montreux, I was invited by Jim Beach in 1995.
So, at that point he introduced me to David Richards at Mountain Studios in order to play my tribute to Freddie.
Since then, I started dreaming to be back in Montreux in order to honour Freddie.
Today, I am confident my dream is coming thrue. I am so happy.
And this is a great energy being here with all of you"

In Montreux, right next to the Freddie Mercury statue, in a friendly space, surrounded by Queen fans from all over the world, several DJ's will play in front of you on several independent channels, each one in a different style.
Of course, one channel will be entirely dedicated to Queen's greatest hits.
Each participant will be equipped with wireless headphones. An integrated button on the headphones will allow you to switch between the different sound atmospheres proposed by the DJs as well as to adapt the volume at your convenience.

Symphonically Queen is a unique show with 130 musicians and singers retracing the musical career of the band in 50 minutes.
Four composers, Victor Cordero, Vincent Pellet, Yuri Furnari and Rémy Labbé have written an original score for wind band and choir based on Queen's compositions.
A "Queen Symphony" in which each movement tells the story of a period in the band's artistic life.
This show is an intercantonal collaboration between the Musique Militaire du Locle (NE), the Fanfare du Noirmont (JU), the Fanfare des Bois (JU) and a choir created especially for the occasion. The latter will bring together about 80 singers, mainly from the cantons of Neuchâtel and Jura.

West End singer and star Peter Straker was Freddie Mercury's closest friend and confidant for over fifteen years.
He will perform a special concert in Montreux with the famous Italian pianist Gabriele Baldocci.
The Royal Band was born in 2003 in Turin with the aim of reviving the greatest hits of one of the greatest groups in the history of rock: QUEEN.
The show by 'The Royal Band' is a tribute to the unmatched voice of Freddie Mercury and is inspired by the idea that Queen themselves had for the 1992 "Freddie Mercury Tribute".
The band is consisting of 6 high-level musicians from the Turin scene, who have been able to faithfully grasp and reproduce the sounds of the British band, never missing that intimate and personal touch that makes 'The Royal band' a unique reality in the world of tributes to Queen.

To celebrate Freddie Mercury's 76th birthday, Confiserie Zurcher invites you to a celebration in Montreux.
A birthday cake will be specially made for the occasion and will be offered to the population and to the fans of Freddie Mercury who came to celebrate the birthday of their idol.
Local wine, offered by the town of Montreux, will also be served to the participants.

After many concerts performed into various locations of all North Italy, the band participated for its first time in Montreux in 2010 and then in 2012 and 2017.
During the year 2011 the band was recognized from the Official International Queen Fan Club as one of the tribute band of Queen over the world.
On June 21st 2014 THE DRAGON ATTACK® participated at the event “Fete de la musique" with the guest star Nathalie Manser, famous international cellist and partner of David Richards, producer of Queen and Freddie Mercury, and owner of the recording Mountain Studios of Montreux.
Following years the band played for many charity events, especially focused to the AIDS prevention, like the "Freddie for a Day", organized by the "Mercury Phoenix Trust", founded after the concert "Freddie Mercury Tribute" of 1992, the "Freddie Celebration Days" in Montreux and Nice (2018) and the "Freddie Mercury for a Day", organized in Davos by the "Hard Rock Café & Hotels" (2020 and 2021).
From 2008 to this day THE DRAGON ATTACK® played in several hundred different events, from accoustic sets to classical rock gigs, with some important performances and the support of a classical orchestra of various musicians.
THE DRAGON ATTACK® offers an exciting tribute, in which all the greatest hits of the english group are reproduced in a faithful way, including great stage costumes and arrangements so typical of the original sound of Queen.
